Has anyone noticed that both Steve "Whacko" Forman and Jim Cates have spent days now wanting to brush the city council helicopter fiasco under the rug?
As most of you know, Brett Blackburn has undertaken some shady tactics in order to get this expensive helicopter purchased and pushed through on to the city of Topeka. Steve & Jim are trying to push the blame on to our City Manager Bonaparte (like they always do)... but the fact remains that it's Blackburn who has pushed and shoved and bullied his way through on this issue.
Everything can be explained though, by Blackburn's financial contributions to 144oAM radio! His commercials air regularly on that station. It kind of makes you wonder how honest Steve & Jim are being when they try to poo-poo this, huh?! Well, they're NOT being honest!! Blackburn is PAID ADVERTISER TO 1440 AM RADIO!!! no wonder they are trying to make this issue go away!!
Although Steve Forman has been known to waffle and pussy out on some issues, Jim NEVER does... but Jim is backing off too now! Blackburn being a sponsor of their shows only proves the point. Jim's crediblity is being lost!
If you don't believe me, let me give you an example in contrast... the eminent domain issue with the bicycle guy at the college hill site... this issue went on for MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS, but you never saw Steve or Jim backing down from their opinions then, did ya?! Jim & Steve didn't whine about how there were more important issues to deal with in the city of Topeka during that fiasco, did they?! They weren't afraid to share their opinions as long as needed! They never gave up, did they!!
Yet now they just want the helicopter issue to go away. Need I remind anyone that the bike shop was not a paying advertiser on 1440 radio?! hmmmmmmmm......!!
Steve-O can bloviate and turn blue as much as he wants that he's not in the back pocket of Brett Blackburn.... but he is! All facts support that he is eating lint out of Blackburn's pocket!!
**sigh**... where do we go to get the truth in topeka?!!
Steve & Jim would have you believe that council is wasting time on this issue instead of working on more important issues like jobs and the cleanliness of our city. Well let me tell you - this "helicopter issue" is not taking one iota of their time!! The council totally could be working on other issues - but they are not. The helicopter issue is not a time wasting problem for them. And they also want to blame D.A Hecht now too! Do Jim & Whackjob Steve honestly thing that the D.A. is spending 100% of his time on this issue??!! LOLOLOL... do they know how many attorney's in the D.A.'s office are working on the same old crime issues that they do every day?!
Anyway - Steve & Jim can attempt to sidetrack things all they want - what it boils down to is their boy, Brett Blackburn, is a paying advertiser to 1440 radio, and if paychecks are important to them - they'll sidetrack this injustice Blackburn is putting upon Topeka.... and they ARE!!
